Introducing the 16’ Morning Tide Strip Plank Yacht, designed for sailors who want a stable, comfortable cruising yacht that’s easy to build at home. Developed from our successful 14’ and 18’ Morning Tide designs, this version features full strip plank construction with computer-faired mould shapes, a building jig, and detailed hull construction.
Unlike her smaller and larger sisters, this plan set focuses exclusively on strip plank construction, ensuring precision and elegance in every plank. With generous beam and thoughtfully designed interiors, she maximizes comfort for her 16’ length.
Two keel options are included:

Long keel with ballast box for traditional cruising stability

Shallow ballast keel with steel bilge plates to keep her upright when drying out
Inside, there’s space for two decent berths, a compact galley, and a curtained area for a portable WC. The 5’9” self-draining cockpit ensures comfort while sailing, offering plenty of room for sitting and maneuvering.
