Description
Evening Swan Cruiser Plans – Spacious, Versatile & Easy to Build
The Evening Swan Cruiser builds on our classic Grey Swan design. With a longer hull, she offers extra cabin and cockpit space, making overnight trips more comfortable. Moreover, she provides room for a basic galley, a Porta-loo, and even an inboard engine.
In addition, the extended cockpit allows the crew to move around freely, while the inboard engine mounts under the cockpit sole aft of the cabin. Alternatively, the plans include an outboard well for more flexibility.
Her long central ply box ballast keel, combined with bilge keels, keeps the boat stable and allows it to sit upright when drying out. Builders start with pre-shaped ply bulkheads, transom, and fore/aft girders. Next, they add chine stringers, either standard or with epoxy fillets, and then attach the hull panels from the plans.
For a more refined finish, the plans also include strip planked hull details and moulds, letting you craft a beautifully fair hull. Overall, the Extended Grey Swan offers extra space, a practical layout, and versatile construction options, making her a rewarding project for home boatbuilders seeking a capable and comfortable cruiser.
