Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

(Njord Craft & Selway Fisher Design Ltd.)<\/em><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases of boat plans, manuals, drawings, or associated files sold via Njord Craft (the authorised distributor) on behalf of Selway Fisher Design Ltd. By purchasing or using our plans, you agree to the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

A. Ownership and Use of Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. All designs, drawings, specifications, and manuals remain the intellectual property of Selway Fisher Design Ltd.<\/strong>. Purchase grants a limited licence to use the plans, not ownership of the copyright.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Each purchase entitles the buyer to construct one boat<\/strong> from the plans. Selway Fisher Design Ltd requires a Royalty fee before you may build additional boats. (normally 50% of the current plan price for canoes\/dinghies; for other designs please contact us).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. We strictly prohibit the resale, transfer, or commercial distribution of plans (printed or digital, in full or in part). This includes sale on online platforms (e.g., eBay) or passing files to third parties.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Support, updates, and technical advice are provided only to the original purchaser<\/strong>. Njord Craft and Selway Fisher are under no obligation to support third parties who obtain plans without purchase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. We strictly forbid distributing, copying, or sharing PDF or CAD\/dxf files without written permission.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    \n\n\n\n

    B. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. All sales are final<\/strong>. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on plans once we have supplied them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. You may exchange printed plans for another similar design within 5 days of purchase if you return the originals in good condition. The buyer must cover postage, printing, and replacement costs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Digital files (PDFs\/dxf) are non-returnable and non-refundable due to their nature.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      \n\n\n\n

      C. Copying and Reproduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      1. We prohibit copying of plans, except:\n
          \n
        • You may make copies for quotes (e.g., sails, fittings, hardware).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Copies for publications, publicity, or articles require prior written approval from Selway Fisher Design Ltd.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
          \n\n\n\n

          D. Replacement of Lost or Damaged Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          1. We supply replacement copies of lost, damaged, or incomplete plans for a nominal fee plus shipping and printing costs.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
            \n\n\n\n

            E. Format of Plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            1. We generally supply printed plans in large-format sheets (A1\/A0) with specifications on A4. We provide PDF files as scans of full drawings, and you get the best results by printing them at A1\/A0.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Optional dxf files (plank, frame, or component shapes) may be supplied for CNC or plotting purposes. These files may only be used by the purchaser for the construction of a single boat and must not be shared. Njord Craft and Selway Fisher accept no liability for errors introduced by third-party cutting\/plotting services.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
              \n\n\n\n

              F. Support and Advice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                \n
              1. Selway Fisher Design Ltd. endeavours to provide support and advice before, during, and after construction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              2. All advice is given in good faith based on experience but is provided without warranty. Neither Njord Craft nor Selway Fisher Design Ltd. can accept responsibility for construction errors, omissions, or the outcome of following such advice.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                \n\n\n\n

                G. Publicity and Acknowledgement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                  \n
                1. Where drawings or designs are featured in media (magazines, TV, books, online), Selway Fisher Design Ltd. must be credited as the designer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                  \n\n\n\n

                  H. Compliance with Regulations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                    \n
                  1. The purchaser\/builder is solely responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, national, and international regulations (e.g., RCD, MCA, safety standards).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                  2. Njord Craft and Selway Fisher Design Ltd. accept no liability for non-compliance with such rules or for the consequences of use of the boat.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                    \n\n\n\n

                    I. Accuracy and Errors<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                      \n
                    1. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, errors may occur in drawings or specifications. If any dimension or detail is unclear, the purchaser must contact Selway Fisher Design Ltd. before proceeding.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                      \n\n\n\n

                      J. Liability Disclaimer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                        \n
                      1. Boats built from our plans require skill and judgment. Since construction and use are outside our control, Njord Craft and Selway Fisher Design Ltd. accept no liability for any accident, injury, property damage, or loss<\/strong> arising from the building or use of a boat based on our designs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                      2. Performance details are provided as guidance only and may vary depending on builder skill, materials, and conditions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                        \n\n\n\n

                        K. Data Protection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                          \n
                        1. Njord Craft and Selway Fisher Design Ltd. retain only minimal customer data necessary for processing orders. This data is not shared, sold, or used for marketing without permission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                        2. Customer photos or project details will only be published with express consent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
                          \n\n\n\n

                          Summary<\/h1>\n\n\n\n
                            \n
                          • 1 plan = 1 boat<\/strong> (royalties apply for more).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • No resales or sharing<\/strong> of plans\/files.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • No refunds<\/strong> on digital plans; exchanges on printed plans within 5 days.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • You are responsible<\/strong> for compliance, safe construction, and use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
                          • We disclaim liability<\/strong> for outcomes of building or using our designs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                            By purchasing, you confirm your agreement to these Terms & Conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
